TIPS FOR PARENTS
Enjoy Your Photo Session!
Here are the things you should pay attention to and ask questions to get the maximum benefit from your newborn or baby photoshoot.
NEWBORN SESSION
SAFETY FIRST!
Baby safety comes first before beautiful photos. Ask if a baby photographer has taken baby safety training. Some poses are taken with some special tactics and baby safety is never compromised.
Checklist
Temperature
Photographers should keep the room where they shoot at an ideal temperature. The room should not be too hot or cold, although it differs in whether the babies are wrapped, dressed or naked.
Photographer
You should ask questions before your photography session. Don’t hesitate to ask what’s on your mind. Your photographer needs to provide a seamless, stress-free experience for your photoshoot.
Newborn Poses
Newborn photographers often work with their assistants and the baby is always supported. If there is no assistant, the photographer should get support from you. Communication is the key.
What Should You Consider Before Your Photo Session?
Communicationis the key!
Do not hesitate to talk to your photographer. Ask all the questions you have in mind.
Whether it’s a safety concern or something you’re personally uncomfortable with, either way, you’re the one whose voice matters most.
COVID-19 Precautions
Be sure to ask your photographer what he or she is doing as COVID-19 precautions.
Make sure that she&he is wearing a mask and that takes all precautions during the shooting. If you have any doubts, share them with your Photographer.
Your Baby'sNeeds
You know your baby’s feeding routine best. You can talk to your photographer based on your baby’s hunger signs.
It is very important for your photographer to receive training on baby anatomy and to act according to your baby’s condition.
Umbilical Cord and Circumcision
If your baby’s cord has not fallen yet, your photographer should pose accordingly and not touch the umbilical cord.
If your baby has been circumcised, appropriate poses should be done for him and he should not make any medical interventions. The shooting date should be determined by considering the recovery period.
Baby Props
All accessories to be used in the shooting must be suitable for the baby, clean and odourless.
Accessories such as baskets, beds, flokati, blankets to be used must be carefully prepared for each shoot.
INSURANCE
Your photographer should have insurance that protects you against unexpected situations and accidents.
You can get information about this from your photographer before shooting.
